Taxes

•July 7, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I’m tired. I’m tired of paying taxes. The democrats want to raise my taxes saying they want to lower the taxes of the hard working people. I’m sick of hearing that over and over. It’s just feeds the envy of lower income people which is why the democrats do it; they want their vote. However, it hurts lower income people when my taxes are raised. Plus, it pisses me off because I’ve worked hard the past 20 plus years building my business and taking risks to do so.

If I have my taxes raised, then I have less capital to hire more people. If my company taxes go up, then I have to charge more for my services to make up for the extra taxes I have to pay or I have to pay my people less and not give them raises. This envy culture the democrats keep fueling is detrimental to a growing economy and to our country.

Here’s my economic plan:

  1. Do not tax business; only tax individuals. Why? Because businesses don’t pay taxes. Business will simply increase the cost of their product to cover their cost of taxes so that they will make the same money. In turn, individuals will pay more for products because the businesses had to increase their prices. The end result is that the individual pays corporate income taxes. Period.
  2. We need a flat tax without any deductions. That means no home mortgage deduction, no capital gains, nothing. Make it simple. How much money you made in a year from all sources is taxed at the same flat tax rate. Why? Well, to tax somebody on a progressive scale is socialistic and is a disincentive to investment and growth. If we have a flat tax, a person that makes more money automatically will pay more just based on the percentage. In other words, if we had a 10% income tax on all individuals, then a person that made $100,000 would pay $10,000 in taxes and a person that made $1,000,000 would pay $100,000. See how that works? However, our system penalizes the high income earner even more by taxing him at a higher rate than others. Why? Envy. Karl Marx (Remember him? He wrote The Communist Manifesto) came up with the idea of redistributing wealth. So, the very idea of a progressive tax schedule is inherently socialist/communist in nature.

That’s it. What will this plan do? It will spark the economy into the fastest growing boom we’ve ever seen. People will invest their money, hire more people, have a desire to work harder knowing their work will be rewarded, and we be more prosperous than we ever have been. The government will even make more money! How? Because more people will be making more money and the government will get their share from a bigger pie.

The economy is not a zero-sum game. In other words, if one person makes more money another person is not going to lose money. Instead, the pie gets bigger and there is more money to go around. Don’t believe the zero-sum game lie from the democrats.

We need to take our country back and we need to give poor and middle class people hope that they can become successful without taking it from then when they do. We need to instill a work ethic in our country like we used to have by rewarding the achievers rather than punishing them. Children need to know that if they work hard that they can be successful.

Why won’t this ever happen? Because of envy and greed; envy of the rich as espoused by the democrats and greed of our politicians.

Global Warming or Global Cooling or Climate Change?

•July 1, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Here’s a suggestion… Go to Google.com and type in “Global Cooling” and see what you get. If you are a Global Warming or Climate Change “believer” then you owe it to yourself to be educated about the other side. I’ve been researching climate change for about a year now. I’m not a scientist or climatologist and I don’t have any credentials that qualify me as an expert or even as a knowledgeable person on the subject. However, I’m a reasonably intelligent person and I can read. I started off researching global warming because I wanted to believe it. I wanted to believe that I was contributing to the demise of our planet if it was actually true so that I could help prevent it. Now, I’ll admit that I didn’t believe it going in but I was looking for proof and was willing to believe. After a year now, I now more than ever believe that global warming is a farce and is used as a tool to control people by controlling how they live their lives. All I ask is that you do the research yourself. Try to believe that the Sun is the cause of our climate change. Try to believe that we’re in a global cooling phase now which is a natural climate change phase. Try to believe that Global Warming and Climate Change are used to control the economies of the world and to control how you live your life. Try to believe. After all, I tried to believe in Global Warming. I gave it a running start and tried to believe it. I’m better off now after doing the research. Maybe, just maybe, you will be too.

Go to http://www.google.com/alerts to sign up for google alerts. Create three (3) alerts: Global Cooling, Global Warming, Climate Change. Then, just sit back and wait. You can make up your own mind rather than having someone else do it for you. Good luck!

Oh, by the way, did you know that the other planets in our Solar System were going through a warming phase while Earth was warming? Does Al Gore think we caused that too? Go read about it…

Viper Days at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit

Here are some pictures from my racing at Hallett in Oklahoma earlier this month. I have some videos from inside the car below the pictures. I won first place in my class with a 1:25.216.

Vision on the Dragon

Ok. Enough of politics. Here is a video of me riding my new ‘08 Victory Vision Tour Premium on The Tail of the Dragon. The Dragon is an 11 mile stretch of road following the southern border of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park between Tennessee and North Carolina. It’s famous to motorcycle riders due to its 318 curves in 11 miles. Anyway, I rode agressively with a camera attached to my front fairing. Take a look…

Why is everybody concerned about ANWR?

•June 29, 2008 • Leave a Comment

The main reason many of us are against drilling in ANWR is because we’ve been told this is a pristine place. Most attribute lush forests, streams, waterfalls, mountains all untouched by man. Have you seen the place we’re talking about drilling in ANWR? Here you go:

And, if you think we’re killing the caribou, think again:

We’re talking about drilling only on 2000 acres of the least desirable land in the ANWR which is a total of 19 million acres. Be reasonable, folks. Let’s drill ANWR!

Here’s another post about “Peak Oil”

Excerpts:

“An entirely alternative theory of oil formation has existed since the early 1950’s in Russia, almost unknown to the West. It claims conventional American biological origins theory is an unscientific absurdity that is un-provable. They point to the fact that western geologists have repeatedly predicted finite oil over the past century, only to then find more, lots more.

Not only has this alternative explanation of the origins of oil and gas existed in theory. The emergence of Russia and prior of the USSR as the world’s largest oil producer and natural gas producer has been based on the application of the theory in practice. This has geopolitical consequences of staggering magnitude.”

 …

“Peak Oil theory is based on a 1956 paper done by the late Marion King Hubbert, a Texas geologist working for Shell Oil. He argued that oil wells produced in a bell curve manner, and once their “peak” was hit, inevitable decline followed. He predicted the United States oil production would peak in 1970. A modest man, he named the production curve he invented, Hubbert’s Curve, and the peak as Hubbert’s Peak. When US oil output began to decline in around 1970 Hubbert gained a certain fame.

The only problem was, it peaked not because of resource depletion in the US fields. It “peaked” because Shell, Mobil, Texaco and the other partners of Saudi Aramco were flooding the US market with dirt cheap Middle East imports, tariff free, at prices so low California and many Texas domestic producers could not compete and were forced to shut their wells in.”

The Energy Non-Crisis

If any of this is true, we have plenty of oil. I’m sure I and we will never know for sure.

This guy sounds crazy but the older I get the more I believe in crazy. :)

My first entry

•June 24, 2008 • Leave a Comment

This is my first entry on my new WordPress blog. I had another blog but rather than importing all that content, I decided to start over. What are my interests? Well, I love to ride motorcycles, race cars, discuss politics, write programs, and sit. Yeah, sit. I’m a great sitter. The only thing I do better than sit is sleep. My head hits the pillow and I’m out in a few seconds. Life is good and I’ve been blessed. Although I bitch a lot about things, I love life and love America. I’ll post things from time to time as I think about it. I’m almost afraid of what I might say but I have an urge to say it anyway.

Have a great day!
